Mackenzie Phillips has been arrested at Los Angeles’ LAX for drug possession, both heroin and cocaine, TMZ has reported. Phillips has already been taken into custody.

Mackenzie Phillips is the former actress of “One Day at a Time”, which also starred Valerie Bertanelli. Phillips has a long history of drug abuse, but was thought to be clean and sober these days.

Around 10 a.m., Wednesday morning, police responded to Terminal 4, where Mackenzie Phillips, 48, was being held by TSA. Baggies and balloons were found which are believed to contain heroin and cocaine.

At 10:00 AM, officers responded to Terminal 4, where 48-year-old Phillips was being screened by TSA. During the screening process, some baggies and balloons believed to contain heroin and cocaine were recovered.

TMZ reports that the alarm went off when Mackenzie Phillips went through the metal detector. The TSA really didn’t expect to find drugs, but needed to pat her down, and Mackenzie started freaking.

They asked her to sit, and that’s when we’re told the balloons and baggies fell from her waistband through her pants leg and onto the floor.

Man, this chick is screwed!

Phillips remains in custody with bail set at $10,000.
