Carla Bruni, wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, pregnant? This photo certainly does fuel the pregnancy rumors, especially after Carla Bruni has said how she would love to have a baby!

The French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, was recently photographed with wife Carla Bruni, while on holiday at the family villa on the French Riviera.

The couple looks very much in love, and with his hand resting on her stomach, it seems the two couple be expecting a little Sarkozy?

Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy were married in February, and Bruni , 40, has expressed her desire to start a family with Sarkozy soon.

In an interview with US magazine Vanity Fair last month, Bruni said that she and President Sarkozy are trying for a baby. Bruni-Sarkozy already has a seven-year-old son, Aurelien, from a previous relationship.

In the interview, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy stated:

“I’d love to have children with Nicolas. I hope to, if I am young enough. It would be a dream,” she said, but ruled out fertility treatment: “If it comes, I’d be the happiest person in the world, but if it doesn’t come, I’m not going to tempt the Devil. If life doesn’t give me another child, well, it has given me so much already.”

Bruni has been asked if she is pregnant, and if her belly is bigger, but she says she isn’t certain or possibly isn’t telling of the pregnancy yet? Bruni-Sarkozy said, “I’m not pregnant and I regret it because I love it when I am. Will it happen? It is very difficult for me to say. However, it is more difficult when you are 40 than when you are 25,” she had said.
