Ed Robertson, frontman for band “Barenaked Ladies” was in a plane crash, but the lucky bastard survived!

Barenaked Ladies frontman, Ed Robertson, and three other people in the plane are “really lucky” to have survived the plane crash, officials said.
The float-plane crashed just north of Bancroft on Sunday. Ed Robertson’s plane went down in a wooded area early on Sunday afternoon.
“Everyone is fine and that is the important thing,” said Adam Smith, a spokesman for the band, said Sunday night in an e-mail to The Intelligencer. “That’s all the comment we have at this time.”
The plane crash happened near Baptiste Lake, in a popular cottage area, said Sgt. Jeff MacKinnon of Bancroft OPP.
“At 12:30 p.m. a Cessna 206 was taking off from Baptiste Lake, lost airspeed and entered a wooded area west of the lake,” Sgt. Jeff MacKinnon of Bancroft OPP said in a telephone interview.
MacKinnon said the plane was completely wrecked but all four of the people inside were able to walk away from the plane crash, and reported the incident. These guys got really lucky!
“They got out and then called it in,” said MacKinnon.
Sgt. MacKinnon stated that no other details would be released, because there is an on-going investigation by Canada’s Transportation Safety Board.
Supposedly Ed Robertson was the pilot of his own plane when it crashed.
Thank goodness the plane occupants were not injured, but bet they were shaken up pretty well!
