Bono’s new album has been leaked.
Posted on August 20, 2008U2’s new album has been leaked on the internet after a fan heard the music being played from Bono’s holiday villa near Nice. He recorded the new songs on his cell phone.
The fan announced the leak on U2’s fan site called Interface.com and posted the music on YouTube. U2 worked frantically to remove the 4 leaked songs from YouTube but people resorted to trading the songs via email. The quality of the fan’s recording was poor as the background noises could be heard.
The four leaked songs were called Moment Of Surrender, For Your Love, Sexy Boots, and No Line on the Horizon. There was speculation that the leak might have been done deliberately. In 2004, the band’s new CD was stolen and the songs were leaked.
