This is definitely non-celebrity and flat-out disgusting, but a man is suing Shaw’s Crab House after eating there, being ill, and passing a 9 foot tapeworm. Disgusting huh?

Anthony Franz says he at a salmon salad at Shaw’s Crab house and became very ill. Days later he discovered he had a 9 foot tapeworm. Just makes you cringe doesn’t it?

Can’t you just imagine, “Pardon me waiter, there appears to be a 9 foot tapeworm in my salmon salad.” That makes you sick to even think about it!

Franz was trying to eat healthier, and decided on the salmon salad at Shaw’s Crab House. Unfortunately, this may not have been his wisest choice!

Anthony Franz says he became very ill for several days after eating that salad and later “passed a 9-foot tapeworm.”

His doctor, a pathologist, said the gigantic tapeworm could only be from one source, the undercooked fish, such as salmon.

Anthony Franz has filed a lawsuit against Shaw’s Crab House because of the nasty tapeworm, saying the restaurant’s staff was responsible in serving him undercooked fish.

Anthony Franz is suing for $100,000 for his pain, suffering, lost time from work and “lost enjoyment of life.”

Now, that would be a very disgusting ordeal, but loss of enjoyment from life? Come on dude!

Carrol Symank, vice president of food safety for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, said he is certain the tapeworm did not come from the restaurant.

“We have done a thorough investigation and we’re confident the restaurant is not the source,” he said.

According to medical sources, the 9 foot tapeworm isn’t all that large! Tapeworms can get up to 50 feet in length. Now that will make you lose your appetite!
