“Uncle Luke” Luther Campbell (Photo) Marries: Parental Advisory Show

Luther Campbell, former 2 Live Crew frontman, married 27 year-old Kristin Thompson in Dallas, Texas.

The couple were married in front of 300 guests, including rapper Doug E. Fresh, who DJ’d at the reception.

Luther Campbell “Uncle Luke” and Kristin Thompson met two years ago at a delicatessen in Florida, and Campbell, 47, proposed last Halloween.

Campbell, who has two children from another relationship, has never married, and tells People.com, “I waited 47 years to find a special woman and have found that in Kristin.

“I never knew that I could feel love on another level like this until I met her, and I am now honored to call her my wife.”

“People say that Kristin needs to write a book on how she nabbed the big one,” he says, laughing, by phone.

The wedding will feature in the season finale of Campbell’s upcoming U.S. reality TV show Luke’s Parental Advisory.

In the show, Parental Advisory, it shows Luke as he parents his children, plans a wedding with his “straight-laced lawyer fiancée” and runs his adult business, Luke Entertainment Group.

In an interview with ABC news, Luke was asked whether he regrets his words and actions as a rap star – presumably with song titles like “Me So Horny” and pioneering bikini-clad back up dancers – now that he’s a parent and husband. We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether or not his answer is sufficient:

Our intention was to do do songs and make people laugh … but people took that whole opinion and placed it upon us and as far as the videos – I’m from Miami, Florida, and I grew up on South Beach and everybody walks around in bikinis in South Beach and we were just showing the visuals of where we were from.

Hard to imagine the author of “Me So Horny” has settled down but congratulations to the couple!
