Robert Novak, a Chicago Sun-Times columnist, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and is being treated in a Boston hospital.

Robert “Bob” Novak issued a statement Monday saying the tumor was found Sunday after he’d been rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital from Cape Cod, where he was visiting his daughter.

Robert Novak said, “On Sunday, July 27, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I have been admitted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where doctors will soon begin appropriate treatment. “I will be suspending my journalistic work for an indefinite but, God willing, not too lengthy period.”

Robert Novak has had a terrible week, first he got played by the McCain campaign to float the rumor that McCain was about to name his VP choice. Then Novak ran over a pedestrian in his corvette and tried to flee the scene. And now the brain tumor diagnosis! Very sad!
