The Rolling Stones are with Universal Music Group now.

The Rolling Stones have signed a new deal with Universal Music Group. It is worth $20 million.

The good news was announced 1 day ahead of Sir Mick Jagger’s birthday. The Rolling Stones will get money from their back catalog from the 1970s.

EMI lost the Rolling Stones, after Radiohead and Sir Paul McCartney, in a series of departures. EMI was bought over by Guy Hands, a private equity “king.” Hands spent time persuading Mick Jagger and other bands to stay with his company. He failed to persuade those who left his company.

Mick Jagger said that Universal Music Group was innovative and the Rolling Stones looked forward to working with them.

Mick Jagger has become 65 years old on Saturday, July 26. Happy Birthday, Mick!
