Paparazzi & Security Fight At Jolie-Pitt Miraval Estate: French Police Involved

French police say camouflaged paparazzi got onto to the grounds of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s chateau Mirval estate in southern France and fought with the couple’s security guards.
French Police spokeswoman Capt. Olivia Poupot said Friday the two photographers were wearing camouflage clothes. She said police officers took them and the two security guards in for questioning after Thursday’s bust-up at the Jolie-Pitt family’s Miraval estate.
The police captain said both sides filed legal complaints accusing the other of battery and causing injury. The injuries were bruises and scratches and “nothing nasty.”
Head of Jolie-Pitt security, Mr. Webb said, “We tried to escort them off the property and the guy’s just gone beserk, thrashing out, kicking and actually biting one of the security people, breaking his finger, drawing blood and screaming that he had Hepatitis C.”
The Jolie-Pitt security guards got doctors’ notes giving them four days off work.
Angelina Jolie returned to the estate after the July 12 birth of her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
Poupot said they were not aware how long the paparazzi had been on the chateau grounds or any further details about the “altercation with the guards.”
“One can imagine that if you discover someone in your garden who is taking your photo then you’re not necessarily going to politely show them the way out,” she said.
Poupot said it was the first time police have been called since the Jolie-Pitts settled there earlier this year.
Poupot added, “I won’t hide for you that this kind of thing is really not the type of problem that interests us,” she said. “There are, in my opinion, far more important things than paparazzi taking photos of a glamor couple.”
That’s crazy isn’t it? The paparazzi deserved the “beat down” though, don’t you guys think?

This is taking it a bit too far, trespassing is already too much. There has to be a little more respect of privacy.
