Matt Grant and his fiancée Shayne Lamas have broken off their engagement.

In a common statement, Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas said that they tried hard to make their relationship work but failed because they were heading in different directions. They have promised to remain close friends after their split. Both parties have refused to elaborate further.

Matt Grant, 27 and Shayne Lamas, 22, were previously rumored to be having a rocky relationship since their TV engagement in “The Bachelor: London Calling in May.”

One month after their engagement, Grant had moved out of Lamas’ apartment because he said he needed space. He said that the engagement was still on. Now, it is off indefinitely.
