Angelina Jolie conceived twins via in vitro fertilization.

A magazine, US Weekly, has reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt resorted to in vitro fertilization to conceive their twins, Vivienne and Knox.

A source who knew both celebrities told US Magazine that the couple were desperate to conceive more babies soon after the birth of Shiloh. Angelina Jolie chose the in vitro fertilization that cost $12,000. It was said that Angelina did not want to deal with the stress of trying to conceive successfully.

Angelina Jolie told a magazine in 2007 that if she were to rear a large number of children, she would prefer to raise them while she and her partner, Brad Pitt were still young.
