Pete Sampras, the celebrity tennis superstar, has been affected by the slump in the US housing market.

Sampras sold his 10,000 square foot house in Beverly Hills. He received $2 million less than his asking price. Still, it was a big sum at $23 million.

Sampras’ old property had 5 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a guesthouse, gym, tennis court and home theater. The mansion occupied about 1 acre of land.

Sampras’ wife, Bridgette Wilson, is an actress. They have 2 sons, Christian Charles and Ryan Nikolaos. Sampras has retired from the official tennis circuit but he still plays in special matches.
