Donald Trump sold his Palm Beach mansion for $95 million. A Russian billionaire was unperturbed by the real estate market doldrums and bought the Trump property.

Trump’s spokeswoman said that $95 million is the highest price achieved in the present US estate market. Donald Trump had originally asked for $125 million.

The billionaire who bought the property was identified as Dmitry Rybolovlev. Trump had bought it for about $40 million. The house was called Maison de L’Amitie and it was spread over several buildings. The renovations were done by Kendra Todd, a winner on Trump’s reality TV show, “The Apprentice.”

Donald Trump thought that the Maison de L’Amitie would be an icon for Palm Beach. Dmitry Rybolovlev might demolish the house and do something to it as he said he bought the property for an investment.
