Katy does very cheeky, fun songs and relates that, “I was raised in a church and made a gospel record when I was 15. I’m not ashamed of where I came from,” she says. Katie is a native of Santa Barbara, California.
In a recent interview with US Weekly, Katie lets it be known of her crush on Scarlett Johansson, with her sexy lips.
Katie says of her songs, “The songs are all very autobiographical. The fact of the matter is that girls smell much better than boys.”
When asked by US Magazine, “Is there a girl you’d kiss?” Katie says, “Scarlett Johansson before she gets married. She is a classic beauty. I love that 1940s pinup look.”
Katie Perry, 24, is dating the lead singer, Travis McCoy, of Gym Class Heroes.
Katie shows off her promise ring from her boyfriend. She quips, “The ring is beautiful. And it’s very shiny. I wear it on my middle finger, and if I need a compact, I just look into it. Travis is definitely a ladies’ man, so it is a big deal for him to be like, “This one is mine.” We are on the Warped Tour together. It’s nice to have interested makeout buddy.”
Travis McCoy was interviewed by People magazine and said, “We’re going to spend the whole summer together. She’s going to be on Warped Tour with us, she’s going to be performing. It’s going to be a good time.”
McCoy says, “She’s super hot, for one. But when I first heard the song, I was like this is going to be a smash. The next thing you know it’s No. 1 on itunes.
“I’m proud of her, she deserves it. She’s been in this business for the last six, seven years, and she’s finally getting a break. I’m excited for her.”
Travis McCoy talks about the diamond ring he bought Katie saying, but it’s a “promise ring,” he points out. She wears it on her left middle finger “and I have one too!” He gushed. His is a silver band that says ‘Katy’ on it.”
