What happened to Hancock’s violent sex scene?

Hancock is a superhero film and being that, it draws kids to it. That was one of the reasons why sex was taboo in superhero films that were usually rated PG-13.

It was rumored that the original script of Hancock had a powerful sex scene. The script was unrevised, before Will Smith agreed to be cast in the role as the superhero Hancock. The sex scene involved Hancock sharing sexual intimacy with a woman. The superhero’s climax killed her like a shotgun that went off. Thereafter, Hancock became a lonely and bitter figure.

This scene was edited and cut from the original script for the reasons mentioned earlier. Even without the sex scene, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) rated this film PG-13 because of the science-fiction action, violence and language.
