American Idol’s Kristy Lee Cook signs a new record deal.

Kristy Lee Cook, one of the finalists from American Idol’s season 7, has signed a new record deal with 19 Recordings/ Arista Nashville. This record label is under Sony BMG Nashville’s umbrella group of labels.

Kristy Lee Cook’s first single is called “15 Minutes of Shame.” It is due to be released in August. Brett James, a songwriter, has been assigned to produce her new album. Kristy’s album has been scheduled for an autumn release.

Kristy said that she has finally seen her wish come true. She had aspired to be a country singer, to make music and enjoy the support of fans. She thanked her fans from American Idol. Kristy said that she would do her best to make everyone proud of her.
