Britney Spears Gets Overnight Visit With Her Boys: Could Brit Return to MTV’s VMA?

Britney Spears got to spend Saturday night with her two little boys at her Los Angeles home.
This was the first overnight visit with sons Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, since her mental episode back in January, when she was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s little boys were dropped off on Saturday and picked up around 10 a.m. Sunday.
“Britney was very upset after the kids left,” a source revealed to Us Magazine. “She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”
At a hearing just last Tuesday on child custody, Britney Spears was finally granted overnight privileges with her two young sons.
Kevin Federline, Britney’s ex, was spotted partying it up in Miami, Florida over the weekend.
Federline and his attorney are now getting ready for a custody trial, which will begin in August.
Kevin is still seeking sole custody of their sons, and wants to continue with visitation for Spears as it has been recently. While Britney, of course, would like to see her sons more often.
Federline’s lawyer, Kaplan said, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial. But that didn’t happen.”
Britney continues to improve with father, Jamie Spears, as a steady influence in her life.
MTV said they would welcome Britney back to the VMA Awards this year. You remember last year, Britney appeared out of shape in a skimpy outfit, and seemed zombie-like as she floundered through her dance routine.
“Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?” said Van Toffler of MTV Networks Music Group. When asked if he was just joking, Toffler said “sorta.”
“Who knows?” he said.
“I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show,” Toffler said. “We are working on it every minute of every day.”
This year’s show will air live from Paramount Picture Studios in Los Angeles on Sept. 7.
