Is David Tennant quitting Doctor Who?

The BBC was rumored to be preparing a big 7 figure offer to David Tennant to carry on playing as Doctor Who. Tennant was rumored to be worth at least £1.3m, or $2..6 million, to BBC.

Tennant has started filming Christmas 2008’s special episode. Fans may be assured that Tennant will stick around as the Time Lord in Doctor Who, until Christmas.

Tennant refused to fuel speculations about whether he would be quitting Doctor Who. He played down the rumors. He said that he had been asked when he would quit since the first day he assumed the role. Tennant confirmed that he did not quit but he has not been offered a new deal yet.
