Rex Mettler arrested for stalking Aly and AJ Michalka.

Rex Mettler, 42, was arrested for threatening and stalking Aly and AJ Michalka. He has been accused of threatening the teen singers through emails, phone calls and blog entries.

Rex Mettler was arrested at his workplace, on Thur. June 26, at Hague Quality Water, in Groveport. Police have collected more evidence from Mettler’s home. They have refused to give more details on the exact nature of the threats. Mettler would be charged in court on Fri. June 27.

Aly is actually Allyson Michalka, 19. She plays Keely Teslow on Disnet Channel’s “Phil of the Future.” A.J. is Amanda Michalka, 17. A.J. has acted in “Six Feet Under”, “Oliver Beene” and “General Hospital.” The teen sisters sang songs that appeared in movies like “The Game Plan”, “Santa Claus 3: The Escape Clause” and “Ice Princess.”
