Jill Scott, the R & B singer, announced her engagement to her drummer, John Roberts aka Lil’ Jon. His photo is pasted below.
Jill chose to make this announcement during a show at Carnegie Hall, in New York, on Sat. June 21. It was done in a dramatic way. Jill was performing. She was half way into her set of songs when Jon Roberts presented her with a big bouquet of flowers and a kiss.
Jill spoke to the crowd and told them that she was engaged. This good news was received with cheers and applause. The audience went wild. Everybody was happy for Jill. She had divorced from DJ Lyzel Williams in 2007, after 5 years of marriage.

Congrats on the engagement Jill! He sounds like a really sweet guy if he’s bringing you flowers and kissing you while your doing your thing on stage. Speaking of stage, she tore it UP at the BET awards while performing one of Al Green’s most popular tunes. Jill is just taking care of business these days isn’t she? And doing it all looking O so fabulous and with a wonderful man by her side. She kind of reminds me of Bianca.

They follow an aspiring fashion assistant, Bianca, who is a prime example of a woman who’s got it going on. I’m talking the dream job, a man who’s got all the ladies drooling, and the spice to keep it all together when hell hits the fan. Think James Bond meets Sanaa Lathan in “Something New”, Bianca is the girl who isn’t afraid to run in her Louboutin heels!
