Charles Barkley, the retired celebrity basketball player, will be playing poker again in Las Vegas. Charles had experienced trouble with a huge gambling debt of $400,000, which he said he had repaid.

Charles said that he was scheduled to play in a celebrity poker tourney. This special event was billed as the “Ante Up for Africa” function. It would be held at the 2008 World Series of Poker.

All poker players have to pay an advance of $5000 to play. If they win, they have to donate at least 50% of their loot to charity. Charles promised to donate all of his winnings. He is debt free now and wants to do something for charity.
