Miley Cyrus’ Dad Talks About Vanity Fair Photos

Billy Ray Cyrus spoke for the first time in a TV interview with the Today show about the controversy surrounding Miley Cyrus’ photo shoot with Vanity Fair magazine.
Billy Ray Cyrus talked openly with the Today show about daughter, Miley, and the negative reactions to the photos in the June issue of Vanity Fair.
Miley’s dad had this to say, “I didn’t know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket,” Cyrus told show anchor Meredith Vieira. As for the nearly topless shot of his daughter, he said, “I was surprised when I saw it … but, hey, that’s life. Stuff happens.”
On all the negativity surrounding the photos, Cyrus didn’t think to complain. “I didn’t,” he told Vieira, ” ’cause my dad always said, ‘The more you stomp in poop, the more it stinks.’ ”
Cyrus’ reaction to the scandal was, “Okay, this happened. We gotta deal with it.”
Billy wasn’t able to prevent the topless appearing photo from being used and said, “I didn’t have any choice,” he said. “I had a show to do, and an obligation, to go to Washington state … playing for the troops just back from Iraq.”
One photo from the shoot showed Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus in a pose that some could see as more of a boyfriend/girlfriend type photo. Cyrus laughed and said, “That’s just a daddy who loves his daughter a whole lot,” he said.
“I’m sorry if I offended somebody. That’s just a daddy who loves his daughter a whole lot,” Cyrus told Viera. “Miley and I just got caught up in this adventure of this dream and what we do for a living and, again, we both love acting, we love making music, and we love each other. I’m her dad, she’s my daughter. If a daddy hasn’t hugged his daughter recently, I recommend he does.”

To miley dad there is always a choice you could have stayed with miley but you didnt you choose to get on the plane and go to D.C. and miley could have said no i dont wont this piture taken but she didnt most likly miley wonted that picture taken miley is a good actor and a hell of a singer and she has got good music but everything that has been going on with this piture and the sex tape she just seems to be another britney spears and that is a nasty slut i am not calling her one i am just saying that she is acting like one
