Kanye West Booed at Bonnaroo Music Festival!

Kanye West angers the crowd by taking the stage two hours late at the Bonnaroo Music Festival.
The Grammy winner walked onto the festival stage nearly two hours past his scheduled 2:45 a.m. scheduled performance time Sunday morning and was greeted by bleary-eyed fans booing and chanting “Kanye sucks.”
West was previously scheduled to perform at 8:15 p.m. but changed it to make the most of his glow-in-the-dark show, performing right after Pearl Jam.
Pearl Jam played an hour over their schedule, and by the time their stage was taken down, and Kanye’s space-themed stage was assembled, it was after 4 a.m.
When 4:15 a.m. rolled around and still no West, the antsy crowd began hurling glow sticks at the stage and screaming “Kanye sucks”, as well as wrote “Fuck Kanye” on the portable restrooms.
Kanye West finally hit the stage at 4:30 a.m., but by then, many exhausted attendees had had enough and returned to their tents.
So do you think Kanye just got a bad rap or that he just doesn’t care about his fans?

I was at Bonnaroo and was one of thousands of irate show-goers. If the vain switch from 8:15 pm to 2:45 am (and even 2 hours late for that) were not enough, the fact that he didn’t even acknowledge the tired and irritated crowd just goes to show he has the biggest ego in the business (as comedian Chris Rock said the night before). What’s really funny about his stupid plan was to show off his great laser show. Too bad for him and the handful of fans who stayed that the sun was up 20 minutes into his performance. I am neither a fan of the “artist”, nor do I have any plans to further support his racist and elitist ideals. He’s a pompous prick who places too much upon the small finger count of hits he’s had. He has no business at our festival. Kanye West doesn’t care about ANY people.
yep, i was there too, 20 feet from the stage. the stage hands were done putting everything together at about 3:15 or 3:30. i think kanye’s ego and lack of regard for his fans had more to do with the delay than with the support crews…after all, there were no other problems the entire weekend with any other act. if he’d gone on at his first scheduled time of 8:15, we’d have been able to see his glow in the dark show perfectly, but like billy said, the sun was up after a couple songs anyways and we were all tired as shit. FUCK KANYE.
Kanye West doesn’t care about hippies.
If it took too long to set up his stage, he could have come on earlier with nothing but a microphone to freestyle for 20 minutes. Then he could have told the crowd to go see Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, and Chali 2na while they wait, then come back to see his set. Bonnaroo fans are awesome people, and would have appreciated his honesty. Plus we could have timed our LSD hits to coincide with his light show. A lot of people had their drugs wear off by the time he took the stage.
If Kanye wasn’t such a pompous prick, he would have been well-received. Next year, he better keep himself and his electronic booty chicks far, far away from Bonnaroo.
