JK Rowling talks about power and magic.
Posted on June 9, 2008JK Rowling was invited to Harvard University on Thursday, June 5. She gave a speech to inspire the graduates. She said that the new graduates should use their imagination for the greater good.
JK said that talents and opportunities came with responsibilities. She urged the students to exercise their capabilities for the under-privileged. Joan said that every person carried the power to change the world. She emphasized that people do not need magic as the magic came from within themselves. She reminded everyone of her personal background where she used her own power to come out of poverty.
On this occasion, JK Rowling was awarded an honorary doctor of letters degree at the graduation ceremony.
