Finally, after all the denials they were anything more than friends, Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe step out as a couple at the Australian in Film Breakthrough Awards.

All eyes have been on Ryan and Abbie after Phillippe’s divorce from Reese Witherspoon in 2006. Rumors swirled at that time that Ryan was having an affair with Abbie Cornish, who was his co-star in Stop-Loss.

Sources say their affair was the reason for Reese Witherspoon’s and Phillipe’s divorce, and Abbie Cornish and Ryan coming out in public now will certainly get tongues wagging.

Reese and Ryan have remained on friendly terms since their divorce. They have two children, Ava and Deacon.

Reese Witherspoon is currently dating Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan recently opened up about his difficulties of seeing Reese move on with her life with Jake Gyllenhaal.
