Abir Sabri, celebrity belly dancer and actress, has makeover.

Abir Sabri used to be a celebrity belly dancer in Egyptian TV shows and international movies. A few years ago, she disappeared from belly dancing.

Abir totally changed her public appearance in the entertainment industry. She started performing on Saudi owners’ religious TV channels. She wore veils and chanted religious verses. Abir explained that Wahhabi investments financed culture and arts and bought contracts for celebrities to promote religion.

Egyptians face a takeover in a Saudization of their culture. Their performing arts used to be liberal but this has changed. This has affected tourism on the international scale. Film makers now have 35 rules to follow. This would explain why Egyptian belly dancers and racy movies have disappeared.
