Rachael Ray in the controversial ad for Dunkin’ Donuts.
Rachael Ray had a contract with Dunkin’ Donuts. She was the company spokeswoman. She was asked to make an advertisement. The ad was misconstrued as having omniscient meanings.
Rachael was dressed according to the requirements of her stylist. She was told what to do and say. When the ad was released to the public, it caught the attention of Michelle Malkin.
Michelle worked as a contributor for Fox News. She commented that in the Dunkin Donuts ad, Rachael wore a scarf that resembled a kiffiyeh. A kiffiyeh was a headscarf worn by Muslim men and some terrorists. Michelle suggested that there could be a link between the scarf, and other sublime messages.
Dunkin’ Donuts was deeply embarrassed. It had been promoting itself as a wholesome American image so it decided to drop using the ad.

Ok, we are getting a bit ridiculous here. Its a fashion scarf, in what appears to be a classic paisley print!!!! Stop reading subversive messages into everything! And shame on you Dunkin Donuts for not defending the innocent image of the spokeswoman you chose!

To all people out there. As an Arab we should not be quiet regarding Michelle Malkin’s comment and it should be taken personal.
The scarf has always been part of the Arab identity and we are proud of it.
It’s like saying if you shave your head your a skinhead.
We shall not allow someone like Michelle Malik to describe our culture in her own words.
