Kirsten Dunst Reveals Depression is the Reason for Stint in Rehab

Kirsten Dunst wants to set the record straight. She was in rehab at Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah, but not for the reason most people might think. Kirsten was actually there for treatment of her depression.

Dunst is speaking openly now about her depression problems. “I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse,” Kiki said in a new interview to E!. “I went there for depression.”

Kirsten said it took over six months of suffering with her depression until she finally admitted she needed some help.

“I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself,” she said. “I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn’t know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.”

Now that Kirsten is feeling much better, she is clearing up all the rumors that have hurt her friends and family. They are protective and the drinking and drug rumors about Kirsten were very painful for her loved ones.

Kirsten is currently working on her new film All Good Things, that also stars Ryan Gosling. Regarding the stories of her dating Ryan Gosling, Kirsten says they are simply not true. See pictures of Kirsten after the bump…
