O Ambassadors on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

On Monday, May 26, The Oprah Winfrey Show would feature the O Ambassadors program.

This new program aimed to motivate and educate 1 million youth to get involved and create positive change. This program was a joint collaboration between Oprah’s Angel Network and Free The Children. The website is at www.oambassadors.org.

The O Ambassadors program drew inspiration from Free The Children’s example. Craig Kielburger is the founder of Free The Children. Some goals from the O Ambassadors program included the education and connection of youth with communities/ projects in developing countries. This was launched in September 2007 and around 1000 schools in US and Canada have started O Ambassadors Clubs in their schools.

The organization hoped to recruit more youths with their TV appearance in The Oprah Winfrey Show.
