Senator Edward M. Kennedy has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. More specifically, it was a glioma in the left parietal lobe.
Specialists have interpreted this as a terminal form of cancer. They said it may indicate that Ted Kennedy has a limited amount of time left. Results from a brain biopsy showed that the seizure was caused by a tumor in the top left portion of his brain. Doctors said they needed more testing to determine what would be the best course of treatment for Sen. Ted Kennedy.
Victoria Reggie Kennedy, Edward M. Kennedy Jr. and Representative Patrick Kennedy went to visit at the Massachusetts General Hospital but none of the Kennedys spoke to the press.
