Kenny Chesney is entertainer of the year at ACM awards.

Kenny Chesney received the entertainer of the year award at the 43^rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, May 18, 2008. This was the 4^th consecutive year that he has won the prestigious ACM award.

Kenny appreciated his prize but said that organizers had changed the value of the award when they opened it up for voting on the internet. This was the first year that the ACM allowed their fans to vote for their top entertainer.

Carrie Underwood won her award for the top female vocalist. This was her second win in a row. Taylor Swift, 18, won her first award at this function, which was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Kenny Chesney was once married to Renee Zellweger for a very short period. There was some gossip about Kenny Chesney’s present girlfriend but nobody knew for sure who the lady was.
