Shirley Poliakoff/ Jenny Poliakoff & the San Diego drug bust.

Shirley Jennifer Poliakoff, also known as Jenny Poliakoff, died in May 2007. She was 19 and a student at the SDSU. Her death was discovered to be due to cocaine overdose.

The extensive investigations that were launched by her death led to the dramatic crackdown on San Diego State University (SDSU) on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. The post is here.

Shirley Poliakoff or Jenny Poliakoff did not die in vain. Her family has praised the SDSU and detectives for their work. Nobody knew that the authorities were going to launch the undercover drug sting on the University. In fact, hundreds of students attended a candlelight memorial vigil in honor of Shirley Jennifer Poliakoff on Monday night, May 5, 2008.

Jenny’s parents, Ray and Kim Poliakoff said that they were happy that many kids would get saved by the crackdown.
