American Idol May 6, 2008.

Jason Castro was good at the rehearsals but he made mistakes in the live performance. Simon practically told him off. He said that the arrangement, performance and singing were all bad. For his second song, Jason completely forgot the words to the first verse.

Syesha Mercado had a favorable comment from Randy but a negative one from Simon Cowell. Simon said that she sang a shrieking version of Tina Turner’s song. For her second song, it was the opposite. Simon liked it while Randy hated it.

David Cook was told by Randy Jackson that he passed the test just barely by a hair’s breadth.

David Archuleta won good grades from the three judges for his first and second song.
