James Brown’s son is confirmed.
Posted on May 4, 2008James Brown died and his widow, Tomi Rae Hynie, was locked out of his estate. The trustees of his estate doubted that he had married Tomi. There was also a dispute over the paternity of a little boy named James Brown II.
Peter Shahid, the attorney for Tomi and young James Brown II, confirmed that his young client was indeed the son of the late James Brown. The young boy’s DNA was tested in April 2008. The deceased man’s bone was supposedly used in the test.
The DNA test was ordered by a judge in South Carolina. The test was ordered because the trustees of James Brown’s estate claimed that the boy might not be James Brown’s kin. Tomi and James Brown II were not mentioned in the will.
