Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon obtained a marriage licence on Eleuthera, a Caribbean island. The couple could have gotten married at Mariah’s private estate in Eleuthera.
Mariah’s family and friends were in a state of shock. She had only been dating him for one month. She did not have time for her lawyer to draw up a pre-nuptial agreement.
Nick Cannon’s family member, identified only as Linda Cannon, said that Nick called them to relate the news of his marriage. They were happy for him. Linda has refused to elaborate further on this matter.
Mariah ignited rumors when she was seen with Nick at the Tribeca Film Festival. Mariah’s spokesperson had confirmed earlier this week that Mariah and Nick were engaged.
Mariah Carey’s engagement ring was made by Jacob & Co. The jeweler confirmed that Nick Cannon ordered the custom made ring. It looked similar to the ring Nick gave to his ex fiancée Selita Ebanks but it was a different ring. It cost $2.5 million.
