David Blaine’s magic on Oprah Winfrey Show.

David Blaine managed to perform his stunt live on TV today. He held his breath for 17 minutes. He has smashed the previous world record of 16 minutes 32 seconds.

He did his stunt live on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Two years ago, David attempted this same stunt for Oprah’s show and he went into convulsions.

David said that it was a challenge to be still and calm in a live studio audience but it encouraged him to complete his task. He was better prepared for this attempt by using science and technology. He spent 23 minutes breathing pure oxygen through a mask to saturate his blood with oxygen. This also flushed out the carbon dioxide. David was able to speak to Oprah immediately after completing his feat.
