One of the most powerful men in Broadway theaters, Philip J. Smith, and his playwright-actress wife, Tricia Walsh-Smith, are in the midst of a very public disagreement.
Tricia had a pre-nuptial agreement that gave her a yearly pension of $500,000 and a house in Palm Beach, Florida, if Philip died. In Tricia’s opinion, that was a small and modest sum. She was worried about what would happen if Philip got incapacitated. Last July, she asked him how she would be cared for if he became incapacitated. Philip got upset and secretly began divorce proceedings.
When Tricia learnt that she was being evicted from their $8 million home in New York, she made a YouTube video. She alleged that Philip had deceived her. He told her that he had high blood pressure and did not want to have sex with her. However, Tricia found Viagra, condoms and porn movies in the house. The video had been seen more than 2 million times.
