There were rumors in Moscow about the Russian President Vladmir Putin. It was said that Mr. Putin had left his wife and would be marrying an ex rhythmic gymnast who was less than half his age. Vladmir Putin, 56, could be marrying Alina Kabaeva, 24.

Mr. Putin would be stepping down as President in May. He was rarely pictured with his wife Ludmilla. She kept a very low profle. Kremlin souces said he left her 2 months ago.

Alina Kabaeva was a gymnast, model and actress before becoming a member of Parliament in Russia. A Moscow newspaper claimed that a party planner was bidding for the contract to organize the wedding reception. The date was rumored to be in mid-June.
