Update on Toni Braxton’s illness.

Toni Braxton was hospitalized for chest pains at a Las Vegas hospital on Monday, April 7. She had to cancel her concert at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino resort on Tuesday night. She had left the St. Rose Dominican Hospital on Tuesday itself but opted to recover at home and miss the concert.

Toni suffered from pericarditis, a heart condition. She also had hypertension and had to make adjustments to her diet and lifestyle.

Toni had a contract gig at the Flamingo and it was supposed to end only in August. The president of the Flamingo, Don Marrandino, said that they wanted Toni to recover well. He said that she could take her time to regain her health.

The latest news said that she might return to work on May 6. She still had to take medical tests to confirm the status of her condition.
