Vanilla Ice arrested for second assault on wife.

Robert Van Winkle, aka Vanilla Ice, the famous ex-rapper, was arrested on Thursday and held overnight in jail. His wife, Laura Van Winkle, complained that he had assaulted her. This was his second domestic battery charge.

Laura said that Robert started yelling at her for buying a bedroom set for their daughter. She refused to discuss any further until she had consulted her attorney.

Robert denied her allegations. He said that Laura was bipolar and on medication but she was also prone to irrational episodes.

Robert had a string of offences like a previous wife battery charge, driving offences and paid animal impounding fees.

The Palm Beach County judge, Nancy Perez, saw him on Friday and decreed that he had to stay away from his wife. He was allowed to talk to her on the phone. He could return to his house under a police escort and pack up some things. The case is still developing.
