Pregnant Thomas Beatie showed Oprah Winfrey his baby girl.

Thomas Beatie, 34, showed his baby in an ultrasound scan on the Oprah Winfrey Show. He proved that a transsexual could be pregnant with a baby girl.

Thomas Beatie made his appearance on the show.

Thomas, born a female named Tracy Lagondino, discontinued his testosterone when he wanted to conceive a child. He took donor sperm from a sperm bank and used artificial insemination to conceive. His wife, Nancy Roberts, was unable to bear a child.

Thomas told Oprah that he had cravings for soybeans and artichokes. He told about how some of his family members called his baby a monster. He said that he would be the father of his baby and having her did not make him any less of a man.
