American Idol said farewell to Chikezie.

Chikezie lost. Although Simon Cowell had earlier criticized David Archuleta for choosing the song, “You’re the Voice”, it was Chikezie who was eliminated from the top ten remaining singers of American Idol. Simon told Chikezie that he selected the wrong song.

Chikezie sang in his old band too.

David Archuleta’s choice song was originally done by John Farnham. Simon said that he suspected that the song was not David’s choice. He did not blame David’s Dad, Jeff Archuleta, directly. However, there was no doubting what he meant. Simon said that the song sounded like one from a theme park.

Jeff Archuleta was dubbed as the nightmare stage dad by some reporters. They knew that he was once banned from “Star Search” because he behaved strangely with his son and other fellow contestants. He wanted David to win so bad, it showed in his behavior.
