Sexy Barbie Bandits sentenced for bank heist.

Two teenagers stole $11,000 from a bank and splurged it on a shopping spree. They were nicknamed as the “Barbie Bandits” because they spent the money to look beautiful, like Barbie doll.

Heather Johnston cried in court.

At the time of the theft, Ashley Miller and Heather Johnston, both 19, had their images captured on CCTV. It happened in the Bank of America, in Acworth, Northwest Atlanta, Georgia. This was in Feb. 2007.

Ashley Miller was sentenced to 2 years’ jail time. Heather Johnston received 10 years’ probation. The  judge, Mary Staley, spoke to Miller, and asked her to reform. Miller had worked before as an exotic dancer.

Heather Johnston was the first to plead her guilt. She cried on the witness stand and apologized for hurting her family and friends.

One accomplice, Benny Allen, who worked at the bank as a cashier, was sentenced to 5 years of jail for his role in the bank heist. Michael Chastang, a co-defendant who was convicted as a criminal for this same crime, would be sentenced later on Tuesday.
