Corrine Bailey Rae & Jason Rae had troubled marriage.

Jason Rae met his wife Corrine Bailey in 2001 when she worked as a cloak room attendant at a club where he was playing. They married and initially shared a home in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Leeds. He moved out two years ago.

A woman neighbor told the press that after Jason moved out, he usually returned to the Hyde Park apartment late at night to collect his mail. He looked drunk. It was the same for a few more times and he stopped calling around to collect his mail.

The neighbor said whenever Jason came around drunk, Corrine would not let him sleep over in that state and the couple quarreled. Ages ago, Corrine had declared that she did not use drugs and did not believe in them.
