American Idol said goodbye to Amanda Overmyer.

Amanda Overmyer was cool when she received the news that she was voted out of American Idol. She gave the polite loser’s speech to say that she was happy and grateful to have made it this far into the top 11. She said that she had a premonition that she would be sent home because she was among the bottom three contestants on Wednesday night’s results.

The other two at the bottom were Kristy Lee Cook and Carly Smithson. They survived to make it into the top ten for the next competition. Ryan Seacrest has announced the names of the upcoming Idol mentors. They were Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Neil Diamond.
