American Idol’s judge, Simon Cowell, donated $162,000 to pay off the mortgage of a couple with a sick daughter. The 3 year old girl had cancer. Simon had vowed to become a guardian angle for the girl, Madelaine Stoen. He told her parents, Amy and Randy, to contact him if they need his help.

Madelaine had a rare and aggressive cancer. The family traveled 100 miles from their home in Minnesota to the hospital daily for her cancer treatment. One parent had to sacrifice the job in order to care for Madelaine.
Simon made his donation on the Oprah Winfrey chat show. He also introduced his protégé, Leona Lewis. Her albums of songs will be released soon.
