Paul McCartney’s shrine to his deceased wife, Linda McCartney, has been desecrated. The shrine was maintained by “The League Against Cruel Sports.” They said they found a dead deer on the shrine. What was worse was that the carcass was mutilated. The shrine was inside Paul’s Somerset estate near Bampton, UK. The local police have been informed and they would investigate the case.

This incident happened at the height of Paul’s campaign with Peta. He lent his image and authority to support Peta on the issue of animal cruelty. Paul also helped Australia’s protestors in their campaign against a scheduled culling of kangeroos. Australia’s authorities claimed that the 500 kangeroos threatened other local species through overgrazing and they had planned to kill them.
