American Idols & celebrities caught in anti-abortion protest.
Posted on March 9, 2008Dr. Seuss’ movie, “Horton Hears a Who” had a premiere in Hollywood. A group of anti-abortionists attended the screening and seized the opportunity to chant pro-life slogans after the movie ended. This was a children’s movie but as every small kid was accompanied by an adult, the campaigners thought it was valid reason to expose their messages to the adults. The theme of the movie was based on the respect for the smallest person. Since the fetus was the smallest person, the anti-abortion group thought the movie propagated their message.
The premiere had many celebrities in the audience. Those present included Victoria Beckham, Jim Carrey, Jenny McCarthy, Steve Carell and American Idol’s 12 contestants.
