American Idol’s David Hernandez sails past his scandal.

David Hernandez has won a place for himself for Thursday’s American Idol session. The judges and the host of American Idol were good to him. They had indicated in the rehearsal that they knew about David’s past when he worked as a stripper in a gay club. In the actual show, nobody made any references to David’s former occupation as a stripper.

Randy Jackson said that David’s singing was pitchy but his voice was big. Paula Abdul praised David for his vocals. Simon Cowell said that David did not sound as good as last week but he won himself a place in the finals on Thursday.
