In Italy, Luciano had cash and stocks in banks that were worth around $12 million. His other assets included costumes he wore at stage performances in opera houses all over the world. These old wardrobes were priceless.
According to Italian law, Luciano Pavarotti’s estate would be divided to give his widow Nicoletta, 37, and their 5 year old daughter Alice, 50% of his estate. Luciano’s 3 older daughters named as Lorenza, Cristina and Giuliana, would receive the other 50%, to be shared among themselves. The older daughters were from Luciano’s first marriage to Adua Veroni.
There was a dispute as the American part of his estate counting the New York property, 2 Henri Matisse paintings and furniture were supposedly in a trust drawn up exclusively for Nicoletta.
